The Venetia Fair – 1st ROAD BLOG from “The Barf Art Tour”

We’ve teamed up with the awesome guys in The Venetia Fair for an exclusive Road Blog from their current tour with Survive This! called “The Barf Art Tour.” You can check out their first update, including pictures, after the break.

“This is Joe Brown (AKA Browntown Scotty, Lil’ Bo Meanie, and Fout) from The Venetia Fair. We are a band and we are on a tour and this is a tour update to tell you what we do on the tour.
We started the tour about a week ago in Middletown NY at a great little venue called Sounds Asylum. We learned a lot of about Chris at this date. We learned how long he could hold in a lie, and how he has no poker face when he’s confronted about it. He betrayed our trust at this show. Though it was a great show (thanks to Mother Ruckus) and though Chris played fairly well, we had to ask him to the leave the band.
The second day of tour was in Rochester NY. We played at an awesome venue called The Bug Jar. The fucking ceiling is the floor. Like the room was upside down. It was weird. The show was pretty awesome and we got to see some old friends and our favorite married couple Steven Sopchak (he produced our last two releases) and his hot wife Rachel. She’s hot. Chris felt the need to hit on Rachel despite Steve being present. For this, we had to ask him to leave the band.
The third day of the tour was in Kent Ohio at a venue called The Outpost. This place was very nice to us. We hung out with some awesome people who bought us cookies and wings at Buffalo Wild Wings. The show was great and we played with some washed up dude that was on MTV made. Chris ate more than his share of wings, and for that we had to ask him to leave the band.
The fourth date of the tour was in Peoria IL. This is always a treat for us as we get to hang out with our good friends and SwitchBitch Records artist, Flannel Mouth. We had a fun time, but Chris had a little too much fun. He drank a good amount and decided to sleep outside with a bottle of Clique in a puddle of his own urine. He smelled really bad. For this, we had to ask him to leave the band.
The next date of the tour was in Grand Junction Colorado. They always treat us so nice there. We also met up with the band we are doing the next batch of dates with called Survive This! They are pussies. We can’t tell if they’re good or bad pussies quite yet. The show was solid, and after the show we got to see a fight and it was weird. Chris was trying really hard to be funny that night by speaking in a horrible Australian accent that night (when asked to aluminum, he said aluminumium), but was just annoying everyone. We had to ask him to leave the band.
Last night we played at a high school in Pleasant Grove Utah. It was a great show. We played with a great little band called The Young Electric. They made a music video. They had bad luck with their video cause the power kept turning off. The staff was great and those kids at that high school are really lucky they have such a great teacher with the idea to put on shows inside the school. We found out that Chris had been stealing money from the band, a total of $4. For this we had to ask him to leave the band.
Right now we’re on our way to Boise Idaho to rock a cafe. Its gonna be weird.” -Joe Brown
