In this Crazy Tour Stories segment, the metalcore band, Unfound Reliance, chats about one of their crazy experiences from being on the road. You can check out the story, after the break.

Our craziest tour story so far was when we played as the support act for In Flames in Belarus some weeks ago. It felt like everything happened at once.
We got incredibly excited when we got the gig! But the first thing we had to solve ASAP was the lack of a drummer. Yeah, our former drummer left, so we had to move our asses to find a replacement.
In the end, we chose Jacob Hedner (from Carnossus), a childhood friend. He’s an incredibly good drummer! We were 100% sure from the first rehearsal that he was the right man for the job. Problem solved! Phew. He was actually so good that he got to stay as our new drummer.
But then came the trip itself. A lot of stuff happened. We got to drink beer with In Flames! Talking to those guys as regular dudes was amazing, but also really nice. Finding out that they’re also just humans like the rest of us was very healthy and eye-opening for an upcoming band like us.
While we were eating, we got yelled at by some Belarussian drunk man who wanted us to give him money (which he didn’t get in the end). He screamed a ton of ugly stuff at us, hehe. He even showed us his karate skills and got thrown out of the diner! Damn funny.
But we also got stuck at the border between Lithuania and Belarus for four hours before they let us in. Without going into too much detail, that was among the worst stuff I’ve experienced.
But then when we finally got to play at the Minsk Prime Hall, it was all worth it! The audience was fantastic and I think our music hit home, if we may boast a bit.
