The Seeking – 1st ROAD BLOG from the “Talk Your [S]#?! We’ll Give You A Reason Tour”

The Seeking is currently on the “Talk Your [S]#?! We’ll Give You A Reason Tour” with Woe, Is Me, Chunk! No Captain Chunk!, Our Last Night, Secrets and Capture The Crown. They will be doing an exclusive Road Blog for us while they’re on this tour. You can check out their first entry after the break.

PAYING YOUR DUES
That’s a phrase that has been running through my head a lot this week.  We, The Seeking, started our first national tour this last week, trekking across the states from Sacramento California to Atlanta Georgia.  It was a long drive that consisted mostly of red bull, gas station food, and sleeping in Walmart parking lots. Home away from home? It’ll have to do.  We left on Sunday and arrived in Atlanta on Wednesday night, earlier than expected and had the privilege of staying at a friends house and taking showers which didn’t involve water bottles OR baby wipes. We even got to change our underwear. The first night of the tour was Friday and we played at The Masquerade, a sweet venue consisting of different levels and stages. The show was really fun and a great way to start everything off, the crowd responded well for having not much of an idea who we were. Now you might be thinking everything sounds great, we’re on tour it’s fun, nothing goes wrong. You’re wrong. As we were leaving the venue, we drove not more than six inches when suddenly a burst of air shot up the side of the van like it would if we had the hydraulics we’ve all been wanting. No miracle hydraulics, instead it was a popped tire that had scraped against a detour sign that was hanging over the edge of the sidewalk. After not having the tool to get our spare and getting it towed and fixed we finally left the venue around 4:00 a.m. Sleeping in a trailer is more comfortable than you’d think.  We moved on to Florida and played Tampa, Orlando, and Lakeworth, all fun shows and great people too! Meeting everyone and getting to talk to people and share with them has been so cool for myself, and everyone else in the band.  It’s a reminder of why we started the band and why we’re doing this. With all that being said, our full length album “Yours Forever” came out today! Pick up a copy at your local Target, Best Buy, Hot Topic, or on iTunes. Who doesn’t want to go to Target though, seriously, that place is rad.
