The Kolors – TOUR PRANKS

In this Tour Pranks segment, Stash Fiordispino of the rock band, The Kolors, shares some pranks that have happened on tour. You can check out the feature, after the break.

– I don’t use in ear monitors, so usually, I have on stage 4 monitor speakers around me. Once, I came on stage and found the speakers in the same position they were during the soundcheck, but pointing at the opposite side, so I had to sing the first song without listening to my voice. I then found out that was a prank by Alex and Daniele because while we were having dinner I said ‘I can listen perfectly tonight on stage’, which it doesn’t happen very often. On the following show, I asked a little help from our backliners to dismantle the drums and then assemble everything as a left-handed setup, and I positioned the synths towards the backstage. What goes around comes around!

– While we are on tour Daniele always falls asleep during the day, it happens everywhere, from trains to planes and we regularly wake him up in every possible way.

– There is a song that Alex and Daniele definitely hate – I won’t say which one – and during a show, I managed to get a crowd of 8000 singing it really loud, just for the fun of it.

– During the final show of one of our tours, our stage technicians decided to put porn pics in every place of the stage I had to go. When I sat at the piano I noticed a picture of elderly porn and I break into a laugh…and the song is about a friend of mine that passed away. It was pretty embarrassing looking at moved people in the front row while I was fighting with myself, no to laugh.
