The Classic Crime – 3rd ROAD BLOG from their Spring Tour 2015

The rock band, The Classic Crime, is currently on their 2015 spring tour, hitting cities across the western half of the United States, with supporting act, Megosh. While they’re on this tour, they will be doing an exclusive blog for our site. You can check out the second entry, after the break.

I’m writing this on my phone. It’s the last day of the tour and our tour manager left yesterday, taking his laptop (my writing utensil) with him.

It doesn’t matter how long a tour is, it’s always towards the end that I stop caring about consequences. It’s a symptom of what we call “Road Madness,” a disease that occurs when you travel and party so much you lose yourself. You become one with the road.

Things become inconsequential, like littering. Since we never have to stay and clean anything up, it doesn’t seem to matter what happens to our trash. It’s terrible and I’m embarrassed to say it, but we’re sick people. I ate a quarter pounder deluxe meal today. Why? I don’t know. I don’t even like McDonalds. I usually eat healthy food, so why did I do it? Who cares, that’s why. Road Madness.

When we open the side doors to our van, water bottles filled with urine spill out and roll across parking lots. We no longer chase them down. Mostly we just laugh. Who even are we? I think we’re itching to get home, back to being decent humans, the kind that contribute to society instead of the fringe trolls we’ve become.

In all seriousness, this tour as been amazing. We’ve met and hung out with so many great friends and fans, people who really root for us and support our music. We’ve almost sold through all of the Merch we brought, which is a first. We are going to go home a few pounds heavier, with tired voices and sore backs, but we’ll be able to pay the rent this time, so we have nothing to complain about.

Thanks for letting me confess our sins and triumphs on this blog. Til next time!
