My first concert ever (or the first REAL concert, not just talent shows in kinder garden hehe) was with the Foo Fighters. I think it was back in 2015, so I think I was 16 years old..?
My brother introduced me to The Foo Fighters when I was a tiny human, and they have been one of my favorite bands ever since. DAVE GROHL IS A LEGEND!!
The concert was in Oslo, so I had to travel from the west coast of Norway (where I’m from) to the east coast. I’m surprised my parents let me travel without them (cause they are strict (but very nice!!) to a rock concert in a big arena in the biggest city in Norway when I was underage??? But I am so happy they did! I was so excited, me and my best friend at the time were singing «ARLANDRIAAAAA» in every elevator we entered in Oslo.
When we arrived at the concert, we came just in time to hear the last song from the band warming up, Ghost, with «Year Zero». We screamed «ASMODEUS, SATANAS, LUCIFER» about three times, and then we waited for Dave Grohl to show up to his own concert for about one hour. When they FINALLY showed up, it was maaagical. Wow. Almost don’t remember anything cause I was in such a euphoric state. This state lasted for about 45 minutes, and then I remembered: I haven’t drunk water all day :)) My body responded with nausea, and I had to run out to puke. While I was standing outside puking, fully sober, I could hear Dave Grohl playing a stripped-down version of my favorite song, «My Hero». It was the song I’d been waiting for the whole concert :// I ran as fast as I could to hear the rest of the song, but it was too late… When I was back inside, they started playing a song I don’t care about as much, and I thought to myself: «Ahh, life, am I right??». Luckily the rest of the concert was amaaazing, Dave was living his best life, and so was I. The night ended with eating a taco baguette and singing «ARLANDRIAAAAA» in the hotel elevator. What a day to be alive!!!
The next day, we traveled back home to the west coast. I came back in one piece happy, tired, and feeling like a little rebel for puking at a rock concert. Can’t WAIT to do that again!!! Thank you, Dave Grohl! And Pat Smear! When did he become a part of the band? Such a mystery.
