The first concert I ever went to was *NSYNC, but I’m not sure if that really counts since I don’t remember much of it. So instead, I’m going to skip to the second concert I ever attended—and tell you all about that!

The second concert, which I definitely do remember, was Mötley Crüe during their Carnival of Sins tour. It was f*cking awesome. For the uninitiated, Mötley Crüe has this wild pre-show ritual where fans start flashing the stage until the band comes out. I was only 11 at the time, sitting with my aunt, uncle, and sister—so yeah, that was... an experience. Rock 'n' roll!

Big shoutout to my aunt, uncle, and older sister, though. They were always the ones taking me to shows and introducing me to new music. They had a huge influence on my taste growing up. Another standout memory was when my uncle threw me up to crowd surf for the first time at a Red Jumpsuit Apparatus show. That was a formative moment, to say the least.
