Rival Summers – 2nd ROAD BLOG from the Faces Of The Fight Tour

Leo Bautista, also known as Rival Summers, is an acoustic pop artist from Sterling Heights, Michigan! Currently, he is supporting Chase Coy on the Faces Of The Fight Tour that will be hitting many major U.S. cities this summer. Check out Leo’s second of a series of “Road Blogs” that he will be doing for us while he is out on this tour after the break.

Four days into the Faces Of The Fight Tour and it’s been a great run so far. I checked back with you guys after the first date in Indianapolis and from there, we’ve gone through Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, and Tennessee.

We played Boney June’s in Evansville, IN on Saturday and looking through all the tour posters they have placed on the walls, it’s cool to see that so many of my favorite bands have gone through and played the same stage on earlier tours. The Mad Hatter in Covington, KY was a blast. We ended up crossing a bridge into Cincinnati and getting lost for a little while, but once we got back, it was smooth sailing the rest of the day. Some of my friends in bands from back home had come down and played there before so hearing their music over the speakers in between bands was pretty nice. Definitely makes me miss home, but I’ll be back soon enough.

Every night, Tyler from Love Can’t Be Baht goes up and talks to the crowd about why were are out on this tour, not only just to play music, but to also share stories and tell everyone what we’re all about. The tour is called the Faces Of The Fight Tour because every face we meet along the way has a story of their own, and it’s been amazing meeting all these people every night and getting to know everyone. I’ve made some really great friends already along the way, and I’m really stoked for the rest of the dates and all the people we’re about to meet.

I spent my day off in Nashville chillin’ with my friend Marshall, recording a Goo Goo Dolls cover, and watching The Office until 4am. Not very smart, since I had to get up early for the drive to tonight’s show at Swayze’s in Marietta, GA. They really don’t call it Hotlanta for nothing down here, so I’m predicting tank tops, flip flops, and basketball shorts for the rest of the week.

That’s it for now, I hope you guys are still doing well!

Sincerely Me,
Leo – Rival Summers
