In this Tour Tips segment, the alternative-duo, Opia, shares their tips for being on the road. You can check out their tips and stream their newest single, Beverly Blues, after the break.

1. First thing when you wake up in a strange new city, open up the maps app and look for green (a park), blue (a body of water), and brown (a cup of coffee). During the walk between those things, you’ll probably see a decent amount of the city you’re in.
2. Don’t poop on the bus.
3. Keep your bunk nice, because past that there is no such thing as personal space on the tour bus. The noise of the college basketball game playing in the front room is matched only by the trap drums emanating from the back, and somebody has spilled Red Bull and vodka on the bunkroom floor. But fret not, for you have your little coffin box, and while that little coffin box may not have the dimensions that might allow you to look at your own toes while lying down, at least it is your little coffin box and nobody else’s, until somebody mistakes your bunk for the junk bunk and tosses a toiletry bag on your face.
4. Don’t bother setting your alarm; you’ll wake up every day at 3pm thinking everyone else went to lunch/dinner (breakfast?) without you when you’re actually the first one awake.
5. Respect the bus driver, because he and the hospitality guy are the closest things you’ll find to gods out there.
