Noiseheads - CRAZY TOUR STORIES

In this Crazy Tour Stories segment, the alternative rock band, Noiseheads, shares one of their stories from being on the road. You can check out the story below:

It was the day before my 25th birthday. We were touring through Texas with The Black Clouds and had just played in Houston before heading to Austin for SXSW week. The guys wanted to grab a bite before the show, while I decided to wait until after—trying to avoid any gastric upset that might affect my vocal performance. They hit up Taco Bell before taking the stage, and I partook in some crockpot chili offered by the venue immediately after.

Let’s just say I avoided gastric upset for the show… but not for the hotel room.

Luckily, we had my birthday off, but I was too preoccupied to celebrate. The band hung out at the hotel while I tried to sleep off the constant replay of the night before and its lingering effects. We watched Tusk—not ideal when you’re nauseous, but a good film nonetheless.

The next day, we had two shows in Austin. I hadn’t eaten since our last gig and was still a bit timid about ingesting anything, but I was immediately revived by a hot green tea and croissant from Starbucks. Both shows went off without a hitch. Case closed.

My advice?

Go to Taco Bell. Always.
