MicLordz & Sauce Funky – TOUR TIPS

We’ve got another set of Tour Tips for you. This set comes from MicLordz & Sauce Funky, which is a rock/hip hop act out of Canada! You can check out all five of their tips after the break.

1. Don’t rely too heavily on technology – Buy an atlas. If you’re driving through the mountains or deep in the backwoods and your GPS dies, the atlas will be worth more than the $10 it costs at the gas station.
2. If you are lucky enough to have hotel options, choose one with a continental breakfast over one with a pool or HBO. The pool won’t feed you bagels and coffee in the morning.
3. Don’t assume people don’t want to buy your merch just because they don’t come to your table. Get out there and work the floor. The extra effort could mean another tank of gas, and new fans!
4. Be nice to the sound guys. Nobody cares if you’re tired from driving or hungry and irritated. Sound guys have the power to make you sound bad, even if you aren’t.
5. Bring a water bottle so that you can fill it up at convenience stores and restaurants. Use the water from the fountain soda machine, it’s cold, clean and free.
