Mickosis - DREAM TOUR
Join us as Mickosis shares who he'd want on his dream tour lineup.

In this Dream Tour segment, the instrumental progressive metal artist, Mico Rigunay (AKA Mickosis), reveals who he would want on his ultimate tour lineup. You can check out their picks below:
In a magical, parallel universe where I get to handpick my dream tour lineup—traveling the world, performing the music I love, and watching these incredible artists perform night after night—I can confidently say my answer would never change. Funnily enough, this tour almost happened, minus two bands, in Australia. So yes, I envy the people down under!
Periphery
I would kick off the bill with the band that started it all for me. Periphery gave me the most powerful tool a musician could have in the modern era: home recording. I was late to the game, but once the floodgates opened, I was off, recording every rough demo I could think of. The chance to hear them play “Flatline,” “Sentient Glow,” and “Wax Wings” live every night would be pure bliss. Meeting Mark Holcomb in person would be a dream come true—he even has a solo on one of my tracks! I bet we’d have a blast talking about the NBA and music on the road.
Sleep Token
As a frustrated drummer, I’ve always admired II’s drumming style. It’s a huge influence on my approach, especially in my latest single, “Accelerate.” My wife and I have spent countless road trips listening to Take Me Back To Eden from start to finish, singing every line together. Sharing that experience live every night would be unforgettable. I recommend checking out “Ascensionism,” “Take Me Back To Eden,” and “Euclid.”
Intervals
If Periphery started my progressive metal journey, Intervals guided me toward instrumental music. Aaron Marshall has been instrumental (pun intended) in shaping my writing style. His melodic phrasing and musicality are unmatched. I had the chance to see Intervals live in Tokyo last November, and they were flawless. Meeting Aaron was just as inspiring—he’s not only a phenomenal musician but also an awesome person. Listen to “Neurogenesis,” “Leave No Stone,” and “Lock & Key.”
Issues
The only band on my list that is no longer active, Issues still holds a special place in my heart. What I would give to see them perform the entirety of Beautiful Oblivion live! Their music often shared our car speakers alongside Sleep Token’s Take Me Back To Eden during road trips. Start with “Drink About It,” “Tapping Out,” “Your Sake,” and “Beautiful Oblivion.”
Coheed and Cambria
Coheed was my gateway band when I first picked up a guitar in 2006. Their early albums heavily shaped my playing style, and I still revisit their first four records for inspiration. They were also the first band I ever saw live in 2010 here in Manila. It was a transformative experience that I’ll never forget. I recommend “Time Consumer,” “The Crowing,” and “Gravity’s Union.”
Playing alongside these bands on my dream tour would be surreal. Every night would be an honor—a chance to share music with my heroes and reflect on the countless memories and inspiration they’ve given me over the years. It’s a dream I hope every musician gets to experience at least once in their lifetime.
