Lionize – 1st ROAD BLOG from “The Hands That Thieve Tour” feat. Streetlight Manifesto

Lionize is currently on tour supporting Streetlight Manifesto on their fall U.S. tour. While the band is on this tour, they will be writing a Road Blog for us. The first update from Nate Bergman, the band’s guitarist, can be seen after the break.

Nathan from Lionize here checking in with everyone from the Streetlight Manifesto ‘hands that thieve’ tour 2012 featuring Lionize and the Chicharones.  The tour is off to a solid start with the Canadian shows living up to their reputation as rowdy and receptive. The rest of the dates so far in the north east USA have been pretty slamming as well. Northampton, Mass – well done.  Opening each show is the Chicharones from Portland, OR. They are a live and energetic hip hop act who’s passion for the beastie boys and old school hop hop are worn in great fashion on their collective sleeve.  After that Lionize takes the stage and its been better and better each night. We have been road testing a few new songs and have been switching the set up night after night to keep it fun and refreshing. We haven played the same jam twice and we are improving a lot. With a 45 minute set time we can spread our wings a bit more and get weird. Finally Streetlight Manifesto has been very tight, aggressive and fun. They as playing new songs an the crowd sings a long louder to the older ones than ever before.  We are stoked to be out here continuing to cultivate our relationship with streetlights fans and bring our loud and funky sound to country.

Keep up with Lionize on Facebook and Twitter.
