Kytes – PRESHOW RITUALS

So our HEADS AND TALES TOUR 2016 is only a month away. We would like to share some preshow rituals we always go through.
We try not to eat 2-3 hours before showtime, which is quite hard for us. So most of the time we try to eat something around 6-7pm when showtime is around 9-10pm.
We blast some loud music in our backstage room before the gig to get hyped up for the show.
30-40 mins before the show starts, all members warm up. Michael our singer has a classical singing education so he and Kerim do all kinds of voice exercises.
Timothy our drummer practices rudiments to gets his hands warmed up. Thommy does some finger exercises too.
We try to do some physical warm-ups together. Kerim and Timothy tried this weird ritual to brush their teeth before the show but most of the times they forget.
5mins before showtime we drink a shot together with our crew. After that we mix ourselves a long drink or drink a small glass of wine, 1min before going on stage we come together in a circle and shout out the name of the city we’re in / the name of the festival.
