In this Dream Tour segment, the alternative pop artist, Justin Clancy, reveals who he would want on his ultimate tour lineup. You can check out their picks, after the break.
My ultimate tour line-up wouldn’t necessarily make sense as a tour package. However, as a festival, it would be a dream come true! For me, I would just have all of my biggest inspirations come rock out with me. I’d have all my favorite artists, both alive as well as dead, and acts I’ve always wanted to see but never got the chance to. The line-up would consist of:
Stevie Wonder: I’ve always been incredibly inspired by his chords, his pitch, his writing, and the way he plays is just unbelievable.
Nirvana: I mean, come on, it’s nirvana who wouldn’t want to see them?!
Radiohead: One of my biggest inspirations as a writer and artist, always making me want to think outside the box. I’ve always wanted to see them live so sharing a stage with them would be amazing.
Amy Winehouse: ‘Back to Black’ is one of my favorite albums and I’ve always wanted to hear it in a live setting.
Mac Miller: I would absolutely kill to see a front-to-back performance of ‘Faces’, or his posthumous release “Circles”. He’s one of my all-time favorite artists and someone I grew up listening to and taking inspiration from.
Frank Ocean: I feel like seeing Frank Ocean live is, in itself, an anomaly. The footage I’ve seen of him is wild. He’s also a huge inspiration to me for what he’s done sonically and just how different his sound is and how he continues to transcend.
As for the other acts, I’m thinking Bill Withers, Elliot Smith, Stone Temple Pilots, Lorde, and maybe even Sampha. My taste in music is all over the place, so just looking at the line-up is kind of crazy but I love it!
