Edgar Allan Poets – DREAM TOUR

In this Dream Tour segment, the noir rock band, Edgar Allan Poets, let you know who they would like on their ultimate tour lineup. You can check out the feature, after the break.

We would like to tour with Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. Why?

Nick Cave is not only a songwriter but he is also a poet and as you can understand from the name we have chosen for our band, we love poets.

We feel that the low tunes voices of Nick and Chris’ (E.A.Poets) as well as the lyrics of the songs could perfectly fit together giving the audience a unique, melting profound experience. Even if our sound is a bit stronger than Nick’s we don’t think that the audience would be distracted but instead dragged to a wholesome experience where we can create the right emotional gap and atmosphere so to prepare the crowd for him.

We would also work with videos and projectors because our inspiration is not only Poe but also Hitchcock. Videos are really important compounding elements to emphasize our message. Try to imagine a black stage with some old furniture on it…a pendulum clock, victorian chairs, a Persian carpet, some glasses of red wine here and there and a fireplace. Behind us the frame of a Gothic window (screen) passing clips of old silent movies…

Welcome in our spooky ‘800 house, we will play some tunes for you while waiting for the landlord.

These are the atmospheres and the environment where we would like to play our Noir Rock and we’re pretty sure Nick would love that too.
