Discrete – FIRST CONCERT EVER

I think I was around 10 years old and by that time I was visiting my cousins over in Oslo, Norway. They’ve booked tickets for a Metallica concert and asked if I’d like to join. I hadn’t heard that many songs from then except the ones my cousin had on repeat all the time.

We were sitting, on the side of the show and it was kind of awkward since I barely knew any lyrics to the songs. I felt like I hadn’t done my homework as I was supposed to do.

It made me listen a lot more to Metallica when I came back to Stockholm and by the time I came back to visit them in Norway I knew all their songs but by then my cousin had stopped listening to them because he had been overplaying their music.

It was a great concert and a great eye-opener for new music. I am still amazed by Lars Ulrich’s drumming.
