Alright, I have a very very good, and crazy story from one of my first visits to a country in Asia.
This story takes place on a Saturday, and we arrived on Friday.
We were completely hammered and smashed and jet-lagged.
We have a couple of weird requests and on Saturday. It’s around 1000 people and it’s a great venue, it’s a seated show where people have bought tickets. They will also get a CD, a merch pack, and a hug.
And I’m like “a hug?”
“Yeah, they’re all gonna hug you after the show”.
And I’m like “ok, I don’t know what to feel about that, but let’s see after the show.”
Then the show itself: there’s a host, and it’s not like a regular concert where I just sit down and talk in between the songs.
There’s like Millions of games and silly activities in between every song. And I’m getting super confused because every time that I’ve sung a song, I have to do push-ups and show my six-pack abs or do something crazy.
And then when the whole show is done and I’m completely hammered, I have to hug one by one the entire audience. They all stand on a line.
It’s just so weird and funny and surreal at the same time.
Then the aftermaths of this, is me hugging a 1000 people, and being completely, I don’t know how to explain it, I’m just drained. I need a clean t-shirt, and I look at my tour manager, who’s also my best friend.
I’m like “Emil, I need a clean T-shirt”.
And he’s like “there is no clean T-shirt”.
And I sort of just have a mental breakdown on him, for the first time in the history of our relationship. I’m literally yelling in his face “YOU HAD ONE JOB, IT WAS TO BRING A T-SHIRT”.
Anyway, I’ll never forget that story. It’s a once in a lifetime memory from this city, which is today one of my favourite cities, and always will be. So many great memories.

Keep up with him on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
