Chase Coy – 2nd ROAD BLOG from the Faces Of The Fight Tour

We are lucky enough to have gotten the acoustic pop sensation, Chase Coy, to agree to write a Road Blog for us while he is on his summer U.S. tour! The tour is called the “Faces of the Fight Tour” and it will be hitting all major U.S. cities. Check out his seond update from the road after the break.

Heading to Raleigh today to play a show at The Brewery. Been there once before, a friend visited and brought us Cracker Barrel biscuits and jams because she works there… I can only hope this excursion will prove as fortuitous.

Anyway, dropped my dad off at the airport in Charlotte today, but we’ll be meeting back up with him in Orlando in a few days. He’s blazing the path ahead of us and preparing Florida for the hurricane that is our blend of soft rock and mellow acoustic pop.

Lee and Tyler both spent yesterday out by the pool, as evidenced by their sunburnt noses. I’m not much of a pool-dweller myself, so I opted instead to head over to Great Clips for a new haircut (the most obvious logical second option right?). Went for something I’ve never tried before… If you want to see it, you should come out to a show! If you can’t make it, I’m sure I’ll have pictures at some point anyway, so sit tight until then.

Other than that, we used our day off to peruse a board shop and get Lee’s longboard set up with new bushings, hit up a sweet sushi place (Sushi Bites in Atlanta, if you’re interested), and generally just relax. We meant to go see a movie, but in the excitement of our sushi discovery, I think it slipped our minds.

In other news, it’s still toasty down here in the south, but at least in this region of the US, all venues have the good sense to have working AC, so it hasn’t been too much of an issue. It was a little weird being in Atlanta again in the heat, since last time we were there, they were having record cold. (On a related note, venues in the south unfortunately aren’t always as diligent with their heating as they are with their AC, and we had to survive a 22 degree night with a single space heater last time we visited. Still had a great time though!)

Excited to play Raleigh tonight and then head to Savannah for another day off!
