Touring is always unpredictable, but one of the wildest moments I’ve ever experienced happened in Arizona while playing with Dreamer Isioma. The energy in the room was electric, and the crowd was fully immersed in the music. Everything was going smoothly—until, out of nowhere, we saw movement on the stage that wasn’t supposed to be there. Mid-song, these two girls somehow managed to crawl up onto the stage, completely bypassing security. For a second, the entire band was frozen in shock, trying to process what was happening in real time. It was one of those moments where you realize just how thin the line is between an intimate performance and absolute chaos.

With security nowhere to be found, I had no choice but to handle the situation myself—while still playing my instrument. My mind was racing as I tried to keep my cool, maintain the groove, and get these girls off the stage without making a scene. It was one of those bizarre moments where instinct took over. I shot them a look that said, What are y’all doing? and somehow managed to guide them back toward the edge of the stage, all without missing a beat. Meanwhile, the crowd was just as confused as we were, unsure if this was part of the show or some unexpected fan stunt.

Even after they were off the stage, the band was still in disbelief. We had toured across different cities, played in all kinds of venues, and encountered our fair share of wild crowds—but this was a first. The fact that security completely dropped the ball made it even crazier. Looking back, it’s one of those stories that perfectly sums up life on the road: unpredictable, chaotic, and sometimes hilarious in the most unexpected ways.
