Hi! I’m Alex Ray, and I’m pretty new to being an artist. While I’ve written songs my whole life, this is the first time I’ve actually started learning the ropes of the industry—and that includes playing shows! I have, however, been to a ton of concerts and am a fangirl at heart. Here’s my absolute dream tour and lineup—one that would make me camp outside the venue for days to get barricade.

My dream tour would be a festival-type situation—different genres and different levels of “fame” (whatever that means). The show would kick off with the Rock Block, and Charlotte Sands would come out and melt our faces. The next act on this block would be one of my favorite bands—ONE OK ROCK. They’re a Japanese rock act and the lead vocalist, Taka, is quite simply one of the most insane vocalists of our time. They would definitely play “Take What You Want” in their set, and the next band on the lineup would come out and play it with them. That band is none other than 5 Seconds of Summer. You might think they’re still singing about lipstick stains and arrow-heart tattoos, but they’re actually full-grown adults making incomparable pop-rock music.

Next, we’d move to our K-POP-ish Block (they’re not all K-POP, but they all followed the same training and release method). We’d bring out a HYBE experiment that is taking over the internet—Katseye. Followed by XG (a global girl group in which every member can sing, dance, and rap—it’s mental), and to top off this section of the lineup, BTS would come out and ARMY Bombs would light up the stadium. And I would cry. A lot.

Finally, we’d go more mainstream and start the Pop Block, beginning with emerging pop star Mercer Henderson. She’s making waves right now, and her honest lyrics and catchy melodies are going to shoot her to the top—you’ll see her up there with Gracie soon enough. Next, you’d see a silhouette front-flipping off a piano, and it would be Benson Boone. Finally… Taylor Swift would perform the entirety of the Eras Tour show. And I would cry. Again.

The name of the festival would be something like In My Dreams—because that’s the only place it will ever live… but maybe Coachella will hit me up and realize I have a vision.
