Horsehell - DREAM TOUR

In this Dream Tour segment, the shoegaze/indie rock band, Horsehell, reveals who they would want on their ultimate tour lineup. You can check out their picks below:

This is a tough question but I’ll give it a go. I look up to so many artists that I’d love to spend time with and see live night after night, but I think I’d probably choose Nothing, Slowdive, and maybe like Bowery Electric. That would be a crazy lineup. You’d get your crunchy, your smooth, your experimental, everything. Plus I’d be crying basically the whole time. Every single one of those bands holds a special place in my heart and seeing them all together would be the show to end all shows. Nothing has been one of my favorite bands for years and I’ll never forget the first time I saw them back in SLC, I just remember being so enveloped in Dominic’s guitars and vocal melodies. And then at the end of the show they played Bernie Sanders and almost everyone in the venue climbed up on stage with the band and just vibed out. And then Slowdive could even just play Slomo and I’d be happy. Their self-titled comeback is one of my top albums ever. And Bowery Electric isn’t around anymore, but they were some of the most innovative artists I’ve stumbled across. I have a deep appreciation for instrumental music and I think sometimes it speaks more than a person is even remotely capable of. Bowery Electric isn’t always instrumental, but their music says something so unique every time I listen. Everyone needs to have a moment with them.

Alternatively, if I was to set up another dream tour it’d be with Radiohead and Nirvana but that’s ridiculous and wouldn’t make sense at all. But I’d still love it. I’ve spent so much time learning how to make music and how to express myself from these bands that it would just be so cool to see them all in one place, and to be able to share a stage with them would feel really wrong but it’d be pretty sick. Both Kurt and Thom have some of the most incredible abilities to write melodies I’ve ever heard in my life. It’s completely universal in my eyes. I can’t imagine either of them are very alike, but maybe I’m wrong. Their presence as artists is incredibly potent and raw and it’s constantly changed the way that I create. I’ll listen to In Tourette’s or House of Cards or Bullet Proof… I Wish I Was and just lose myself every single time. And you watch them lose themselves too, and that’s all I want to accomplish too — to be completely wrapped up in some of these energies that are completely unexplainable. That and I just wanna drink some beer with all these people.
