Wool on Wolves – TOUR TIPS

Indie rock band, Wool on Wolves, have written a set of helpful Tour Tips for you guys to learn from. You can check them out after the break.

1. Always create some form of hip and exclusive club inside the tour van.
Exclusivity is key. Ideally only one… maybe two people can attend this
club at a time… Definitely not the entire group. Try to seek sponsorship,
as we all know how expensive running a club can be. Ours is unofficially
sponsored by San Pellegrino, hence the back seat being aptly named…  ‘The
San Pellegrino European Ultra Lounge’.
2. Create a type of game for figuring out ipod playlist order. We
recommend adding a competitive element of ‘one-upsmanship’. To do this you
simply pic a category (best side one – track one ever, best song to wake up
to, best song to dance naked to, best song to scream “I’m on Drums!” to…
you get the idea) and then everyone gets a turn. There is something very
high fidelity about the game, but it allows us to get some pretty killer
road tunes going.
3. Two crucial products… Beano and Gold Bond
4. Whomever gets the drink tickets from the venue should be sure to
administer them to all but one member. The member that doesn’t receive any
should also be the most broke. Although this seems counter-intuitive it
always assures that someone can drive the other drunk and wealthy members of
the group to the hotel where they can shower the DD with tequila, praise,
and Denny’s breakfast sausages.
5. Our final ‘rule for the road’ is quite possibly the most important.
Acknowledge that you are doing something that very few people in the world
get to experience. Make sure to let your audience know every night that you
cherish their support of your perpetual adolescence. In all honesty, just be
sure to really soak-in every possible moment of an extremely unique
experience.
