War On Betty - PRESHOW RITUALS

In this Preshow Rituals segment, the metal band, War On Betty, reveals their very real and not exaggerated rituals before taking the stage. You can check out the rituals below:

This is War On Betty and we’re here to share with you some of our more unconventional preshow rituals and routines.

Right out of the gate, nothing gets us psyched more than discussing in great detail the essence of what it means to be alive just before walking out to perform a high intensity show. The existential dread really gets the blood pumping.

Another thing we like to do is go to the bathroom together and cross the streams. We call this the “Venkman”. It really strengthens our bond as a band and solidifies our friendship.

Its usually quite rare but has become more common as of late. War will just curl up in a corner with a good romance novel and sweat. This technique has yielded some of our strongest performances to date.

This isn’t exactly a ritual but it is something we have to be mindful of. It’s very important to keep the dressing room door shut at all times or else our drummer could get out. Keeping him on a leash works pretty well but its a bit inhumane. We’d really like to avoid another incident like what happened in Reno. You live and you learn I suppose.
