Its me Joe Brown. My band The Venetia Fair last left you leaving Temecula CA and heading to Roswell NM. Its a long drive. To make the drive better, I live tweeting my way through a bottle of whisky. Fun times were had by me, and nobody else. We realized that Chumbawumba is the last great fusion band. We couldn’t find Mike the entire ride, because he was in Spookyland (our bottom bunk) avoiding us at all costs. He doesn’t like us very much at all.
We arrived in Roswell and played a backyard show. Nobody liked us when they watched us, but they loved us afterwards and said we were a great band. The cops came and tried to arrest us but we fought them off pretty hard. The hosts were great and we did laundry and rocked some hot dogs in our guts. We couldn’t find Mike until Chris found him strapped to the roof of our van. He said “I don’t want to ride with you guys, and I couldn’t find anybody to pick me up and drive me to the next show, so I strapped myself to the roof.” So we drove to San Antonio with Mike on the roof.
We had the next day off which was spent on the road. At night we got restless and lit off fireworks in the middle of the highway. By lit off fireworks I mean that Mr. Chark burned his hand by dumping gasoline on a pile of fireworks and lit it on fire 2 feet in front of the van. Then we drove away.
The next night we played at midnight at Night Rocker Live in San Antonio Texas. We found Mike at the venue already as he had gotten a ride from someone somehow. We thought he was strapped to our roof the whole time. We also found out that Survive This! had dropped the remaining dates of the tour because they can’t handle the road.
They only let you play at night at Night Rocker live. We saw some familiar faces and fun was had by all. Shots of tequila were a dollar so I got cocked.
The next day we tried to go see Captain Phillips starring Tom Hanks playing Tom Hanks playing Captain Phillips before our show in Denton, but we decided to get arrested for organized crime and crimes of passion instead. I can’t go into too much detail, but AssPoop came through once again and bailed us out with his personal money that we paid him because we are rich and money is no object. Mike opted to stay in prison and later got a ride from the cops to Denton.
Denton was a great show because we got to play with some great bands including The Wake of Man and Stolas. Those Stolas boys have pretty peckers. The show was great, and then we stayed with a long lost friend from MA that had since moved to the dry county of Denton Texas, where we drank a lot.
Now we’re on our way to Philadelphia, where Mike is meeting us because he took a plane there because he doesn’t want to drive with us. We’ve been sending him updates along the way but he’s been ignoring us.
