Tré Nixon - DREAM TOUR

In this Dream Tour segment, the rock artist, Tré Nixon, reveals who he would want on his ultimate tour lineup. You can check out their picks below:

Hello! My name's Tré Nixon from San Jose, CA, but currently based in Los Angeles. I'm most inspired by the artists who've left a infinite impact on the world of music, so my dream tour lineup would have to be:

Headliner: Prince
The Artist is my number one inspiration in music. He did every genre, every type of theatrical feat in his live shows, played every instrument, produced, rocked insanely diverse fashion that was so ahead of his time, was intelligent, spiritual, and an overall enigma of a human being. Him being mixed race, his androgyny, and captivating stage presence is everything I connected with. His songwriting, his originality, everything about Prince will never be replicated, and to see him perform, and better yet open for him, would be an absolute dream come true.

Co-Headliner: Green Day
Fortunately, I've had the chance to see the band that started it all for me in concert twice now. As a 14 year old, Green Day was everything. I wanted to be Tré Cool so bad, so the first instrument I picked up was the drums (and of course dyed my hair slime green). I quickly realized that was not the instrument for me, so my grandfather gave me his Ovation acoustic guitar that he played in Bluegrass bands with. It's my most prized possession to this day. It took me a while to pick-up, but I eventually learned how to play bass and guitar. I'd play to every Green Day album that was out at the time, and pretend I was on that stage in front of all those people that I saw on the "Bullet In A Bible" Live DVD. Although, Insomniac was my favorite Green Day record and it held up after all these years. A full circle moment for me was having Tom Lord-Alge and Ted Jensen mix & master 2 of my songs (Everything's Fine & SUV), which were the engineers on that very album. To be able to hangout and talk about those early years with them on tour would be such an insane experience. I hope it happens one day!

I could think of a hundred more bands and artists I'd love to tour with, (David Bowie, Weezer, The Gaslight Anthem, Fountains of Wayne, My Chemical Romance, Third Eye Blind, Cory Wong) but those 2 would be the dream. Opening for Prince, and Green Day!? Man, what I wouldn't give!
