The Skies Revolt – TOUR TIPS

Here is a brand new set of Tour Tips. This set of five awesome tips for being on the road comes from the Grand Rapids, MI indie/rock band, The Skies Revolt. You can check out the band’s tips after the break.

1. Air Conditioning…after THIS summer…air Conditioning.
2. Don’t expect anything. Whether it’s 1 person or 1000, play hard. The 1 person that  shows up, still showed up and it’s not their fault if no one else did. You never know who that one person might be. The “big” bands have a lot more of those 1 person shows then they would like you to think.
3. Make sure the promoter or venue puts on locals. It’s a double whammy, they will usually bring friends out to watch, but they also help get the word out.
4. Worry about getting the show first and money last.
5. Treat other bands, promoters and venues with respect no matter how much of a jerk they might be to you. Everyone has off days.
