The Imaginaries - DREAM TOUR

In this Dream Tour segment, the americana/singer-songwriter duo, The Imaginaries, reveals who they would want on their ultimate tour lineup. You can check out their picks below:

We've been dreaming up our ultimate tour lineup for some time now. The Imaginaries Dream Tour would include the following acts in no particular order:

Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers
Bonnie Raitt
Robert Plant & Alison Krass
Chris Isaak

Let's break it down as to why this would be our ultimate dream lineup for a Tour!

First of all, Tom Petty was Shane's very first concert to attend as a kid. He was immediately mesmerized by the music, Tom's stage presence and the chemistry of the band. We realize sadly that joining a tour with Tom will never be a reality, but it would have been so amazing to get to tour with him. We adore his catalog and wanted to honor his legacy by releasing our cover of "Stop Draggin' My Heart Around" out now (The Imaginaries' first cover to release that's not a holiday song), which he wrote with Mike Campbell. Tom Petty has inspired The Imaginaries music in a major way.

Next up, Bonnie Raitt. I (Maggie) got my first karaoke machine when I was eight years old and one of the very first karaoke cassette tapes I got had a variety of songs by popular female artists at the time, including "Something To Talk About" by the amazing Bonnie Raitt. It was the first time I recognized just how cool a slide guitar can be. I've been a huge fan of hers ever since. Around 2010, we had the opportunity to hear her play a show in Oklahoma and meet her backstage. She was incredibly nice and welcoming and boy did she sound killer that night. Her songs, musicianship, style all deeply have influenced us both.

Let's move to Robert Plant and Alison Krauss next. I (Maggie) have been a huge fan of Alison's since as long as I can remember and we are both Led Zeppelin fans. As soon as the debut album Raising Sand came out from this duo, we were hooked. Something about Alison's voice can have similarities to a certain way that my voice sounds on specific songs. We love the rock and roll, Everly Brothers, rockabilly vibes with the harmonies going throughout many of the songs on these records. Now touring their second full length LP Raise The Roof, we feel The Imaginaries would be a great fit with the Robert Plant and Alison Krauss show.

Last but certainly not least, Chris Isaak would be an amazing artist to have on The Imaginaries Dream Tour. How can you not LOVE "Wicked Game"? We saw Chris perform live about a decade ago and were absolutely blown away by him, his presence, and his performance. He's the type of person when he walks into the room, you just feel a huge and impactful presence. There's a beautiful surfy, swampy, and ethereal mystery to his music that pulls us in. Sharing the stage with Chris Isaak would be an incredible experience for The Imaginaries.

Although touring with Tom Petty will never be able to happen for us, we'd be honored and thrilled to share the stage with Bonnie Raitt, Robert Plant and Alison Krauss, and Chris Isaak in any capacity in the near future. We can see it now... and we're dreaming it into reality.
