Hey guys,
This is the first update of our tour! Right now we’re on day 4 of the tour and we’ve been off to a pretty interesting start. Our first 2 shows were pretty great but yesterday we hit a CRAZY snow/rain/sleet storm and had to cancel our third show because of it. We spent the majority of the day driving from VA Beach to NJ, and decided we would get a motel to celebrate our drummer, Derek’s birthday.
After we spent a few hours in the motel, we decided that we wanted to go out. We walked a block and half to Dominic’s tavern and we ran into what looked like some of the Jersey Shore cast. Definitely an interesting experience. After a few drinks, we walked back to the motel where Derek snored through the entire night and kept us awake for a bit of time. Haha.
We spent the majority of today running errands. I needed a Halloween costume for tonight’s show (I’m going to be a Ghostbuster) so we went out to Target. Target is pretty much the best place for almost anything and this particular Target was the coolest Target we had ever been to. It had an ENTIRE grocery store section which was pretty awesome.
Right now, we’re hanging out at this venue in NJ called Whitman’s Square Men’s Club which is like this weird sort of community center. They’ve got a full kitchen, so when we came here we immediately took advantage of it by making some chili.
Until load in, we’ll be making press kits by hand, which is not the most interesting thing in the world. It’s literally 40 minutes of arts and crafts. Cutting, pasting, measuring…ugh. And getting glue stuck to your hands is the worst. Tonight’s show should be pretty sweet though since it’s a Halloween show and there’s a costume contest going on I think. Until next time ladies and gents!
