Tanja - FIRST CONCERT EVER

When I was in the third grade I was surprised with Hilary Duff concert tickets for my birthday. I was THE biggest Hilary Duff fan so this was a dream come true. I remember wearing a brand new outfit from Limited Too and I thought I looked so cool and that Hilary would for sure notice me. She was a huge inspiration for me in my early days of songwriting- I would play the three chords I knew on guitar and pen songs about my middle school crushes and heartbreaks.

Although the concert was so long ago and the details are fuzzy, I do remember dancing the entire time, waving my glow stick in the air, and signing every lyric of every single song. Seeing her on stage was the first time I really felt drawn to performing- I saw her up there and I thought “I want to be up there too”. Hilary Duff will always be an icon and I still jam out to her music today.
