This set of Tour Tips was written by Winston Roye, the bass player for the alternative rock band, Soul Asylum. You can check out Winston’s tips for touring, after the break.

1. ID, cell phone. You never know when you will be locked out of your hotel room, lost etc. If you’re traveling in  the Southwest, or Southern California and could be profiled as Mexican, carry your passport.

2. A flashlight. You can find something on the tour bus without having to turn on all the lights.

3. A VERY warm coat. You don’t have to wear it, as long as you have it around in case the weather changes.

4. A bicycle. Throw a cheap one into the trailer so you can get around backstage at the Enormodome.

5. A power strip. Then you can get more outlets in your hotel room.
