Serianna – 1st ROAD BLOG from their “The New Kids on the Block Tour”

While Serianna is on The New Kids On The Block Tour w/ A Faylene Sky, they will be keeping us up to date on what they do on the tour. The first of these blogs can be read after the break!

The New Kids On The Block tour started July 14th in Michigan, so we ended up leaving the night before just so we could get there early and with enough time to hangout. After driving through the early hours in the morning, we pulled over at a rest stop and slept in the van. Since we arrived fairly early, we all decided to walk around the town of Romeo,MI (apparently that’s where KidRock is from) and went bowling for a few hours. After the show we drove straight to our good buddy Chris Salyer’s (The Sights Set North Agency) house who graciously let us stay the night. The next show was Respect Fest in Taylor,MI which was a blast. We met a ton of new friends and had a blast, even when the cops came because bands were threatening the sound guy. The police tried pulling the plug on the show, but the last band (Smash Your Enemies) played anyway and caused total mayhem. You had to have been to see it for yourself. Chairs and hotdogs were through around the pit and finally the police kicked everyone out. We were supposed to head to Canada that night for our show in Toronto but someone stole our tour manager Eric Benton’s backpack, which had his laptop, wallet, and passport. We had no choice but to buy him a train ticket home as much as we didn’t want to. We’ve heard so many horror stories about bands having trouble getting into Canada, so we were a little nervous. They had us pull over at the border and do background checks on us all, and we realized Kris Meyer-Ruef should definitely not have worn a Winds Of Plague t-shirt with a giant middle finger on it. They let us into Canada and we drove 4 hours to the venue. The venue was an indoor race course/paintball course/skatepark/bar. That show so far has been the best one of the tour. We made so many friends and played with awesome bands. The next day we drove to Lake Ontario and swam for a bit, as well as played some frisbee. Canada definitely treated us well and we can’t wait to go back! Right now we have a few days off so we’re currently crossing the border back to America! More tour blogs to come!
