S.O.S – DREAM TOUR

When I was thinking of who to choose to go on my dream tour, I immediately came up with these four amazing women: Halsey, Jess Glynne, Zara Larsson and Beyonce. I’m all about female empowerment and I think my ideal line up would consist of strong, talented ladies who know how to put on a memorable performance! The five of us all have our own, individual styles which would be good to attract a variety of people whilst still providing a night of seamless, awesome music.
HALSEY:
I came across Halsey’s music around a year ago when Annie (a close friend from uni) mentioned her to me. Annie and I have all the same likes and dislikes so she knew that I’d fall in love with Halsey’s music… and I did! Halsey seems to be more well known in the US right now but I’m sure it’s just a matter of time before she explodes everywhere! Her songs are just so instant, they hit you and they have such depth behind the lyrics, not to mention how on point her vocals are every single time she performs live. Her recent collabs have gone down really well too, so maybe she could bring The Chainsmokers along and they could perform their tune ‘Closer’, or maybe we could even have a rare Bieber appearance after their surprise collab on the Today Show! Regardless of all that, I bet she would be SUCH a fun human being to take on tour, she would 100% spice things up.
JESS GLYNNE:
To be honest this choice surprised me a little because if I was putting this list together a few months ago, Jess might not have made the cut. The thing is, although I recognize a talented woman when I see one, I never really considered myself a massive Jess Glynne fan. It was only a few weeks ago after seeing her Take Me Home Tour live at the O2 Arena that I properly realized what an amazing artist she really is. She reminded me of a female Bruno Mars, her band was so tight, I absolutely LOVED her dancing brass section and the styling and staging were really quirky!! I also realized that she has literally had SO many hit singles (which is super impressive coming from one artist) that I could pretty much sing along to every one of her songs word for word – it was basically one massive, feel-good party and I was hooked.
ZARA LARSSON:
I’ve seen quite a few of Zara Larsson’s performances recently, and my first thoughts were “this girl is stunning”. I don’t even think I knew who she was the first time I saw a video of her performing, but she immediately made me look her up. I then realized “oh hang on, this is the girl who sings ‘Lush Life’” and I loved that track ever since I first heard it on Radio 1. On stage, she’s all about girl power with her girly styling and flawless female dancers, which is why she’s the ideal pick for this line up. Also, she’s Swedish so I feel like this would give the dream tour an added European element which is something she and I could bond over (maybe?). I have no idea where she gets the stamina for all that dancing whilst she sings live, but girl got moves! She reminds me of Rihanna in her early days and a touch of RiRi is never a bad thing!!
BEYONCE:
Well, what can I say about Beyonce that hasn’t already been said a thousand times? Witnessing a Queen B concert has been top of my bucket list since I was little, so last Summer I traveled to Amsterdam with some girlfriends from back home to watch her slay it on her Formation World Tour. She completely smashed my expectations and gave me constant goosebumps which are exactly why I would want her, more than anyone, to be part of my dream tour so that my fans could have the same unforgettable experience as I did! Also, I feel like I would learn so much from spending time with such a global superstar on tour (I wish!) and it goes without saying that she would obviously be my headliner, although I have heard that her stage rider is pretty demanding (like red toilet paper… apparently!) but let’s face it we’re talking about Beyonce here, we’ll give the woman whatever she wants!

Keep up with the artist on Facebook and Twitter!
