Mandolyn Mae – TOUR TIPS

This set of Tour Tips was written by the Canadian singer/songwriter, Mandolyn Mae. You can check out her tips for being on the road, after the break.

1. Be on time.
It makes you look like you don’t care about the people your playing for or playing with, if you show up 10 minutes before you play.

2. Be nice.
There’s a line between being that guy that goes around hugging people saying “it’s a great day to be alive” followed by a kiss on the cheek, and being the guy that just doesn’t yell at everyone they come across and rolls their eyes when someone says something stupid. The world doesn’t revolve around you, so get off your high horse and be nice to the people around you.

3. BREATHE
Things are going to go wrong, people will make mistakes, YOU will screw up. It’s ok. It happens.

4. Stop.
Makes pit stops at cool places you see on the way to a venue. If you have a friend in a city you’re going through, leave earlier and get coffee with them! Make it fun and stress free!

5. Take it all in.
You’ve been given a gift that not everyone gets to share by going on tour, so take it in. Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy.
