In this Dream Tour segment, the indie rock band, ENTT, reveals who they would want on their ultimate tour lineup. You can check out their picks, after the break.
As a band, we have pulled together several inspirations, ideas, and points of reference to create our own unique sound that we label as “Alternative Dance”. For our dream tour, we all have our own individual thoughts and ideas as to how we could put this together in the best way, as well as combining our influences to allow people to really grasp what ENTT stands for.
Freddie Wardour (Lead Singer) – I have obviously fantasized about my dream tour since I bought my first album on cassette. The line-up has changed somewhat since then, for as much as I still love Britney Spears, I don’t think our styles quite merge anymore, though I am still open to the idea!
We begin with the London Symphony Orchestra (LSO) playing orchestral versions to some of our songs. They will be there for the entire night, playing in the interludes and bringing the drama to this wonder of a show. I absolutely adore classical music. The only instrument I ever graded in is the cello, and a string quartet literally has the power to break my heart and put me in a state of euphoria at the same time. In the interludes, they will play alongside the absolutely fabulous Deadmau5. Imagine those beautiful pads and synths playing harmoniously with the swells of the strings and the brass sections.
Just as we are about to play our final song, the one and only Lady Gaga comes out and joins us onstage. I am emotional, my whole body shaking. Thankfully she is a pro, and she sings the rest of our song, knowing it word for word as I stare at her in awe, the hairs standing on the back of my neck and tears falling from my eyes. This has been my dream for over a decade, and I am pinching myself to stop going into shock.
Kaan Kara (Producer) – Since I was young, Depeche Mode and their music has always been a big part of my life. My mum is a huge fan, and their art is what inspired me to start on my music journey. They would feature heavily in my dream tour whether it would be to open or play alongside us. Their style of music truly melds with what I am trying to achieve with the sound of ENTT. Another band I would love to feature on our dream tour would be Kosheen. I have been lucky enough to see them play live, and the way their show is put together is truly outstanding! I feel Kosheen would bring our tour to life, and really demonstrate to people what ENTT are about.
Elliott (Keys) – My dream tour for the band would firstly involve us having a schedule that allowed us to see the world while we worked! It’s not often you get to see a lot of different cities in such a short space of time. I would also love a tour schedule that allowed us to spend that time with our friends, family, and anybody else we are close with, it’s all about the experience and how you feel in the moment in my eyes. I have been a huge fan of Clean Bandit since they dropped their debut album, and that inspired a lot of my input into production inspiration for the sound of ENTT. I am also a huge fan of Superorganism, Twin Atlantic, and Disclosure, so if any are available that’d be great!
