I went to my very first concert when I was 9 years old in 2007 and I saw Gwen Stefani on her Sweet Escape Tour with Akon as support in Camden, New Jersey.

My mom took me and we had so much fun. There was a guy selling bootleg shirts in the parking lot and the one I got was my favorite tshirt until I outgrew it.

Artist like Gwen are huge inspirations for me. It was really important for me to be able to see women as performing artists. She transcended genres and expectations and is still one of my favorites artists. Very glad I got that experience at such a young age.
