1. Always bring a pillow AND a pillowcase from home. It’s good to have
something every night and morning to remind you of home, and it’s also
good to know you’re going to be comfortable when you’re napping in the
van.
2. Always bring a good book. When you are bored on those long drives
during the day, instead of texting and living on your phone, try to
detach from that world and read a good book. It helps to take you out of
your environment, and will allow you to forget for a few hours that
you’re stuck in a van driving a thousand miles on your day off.
3 Always make sure, if it looks like it’s going to be a wild night,
that you have someone to drive the van.
4. If you’re driving the night shift, and you get tired, PULL OVER. It’s
not worth risking lives because you want to prove you can drive the
longest.
5. Never trash a dressing room. It’s immature and unfair to the people
who have to clean it up. And those people will remember you, and you
will not be treated well when you come back.
