We the Wild – DREAM TOUR

Lineup:
REFUSED
EVERY TIME I DIE
THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN
THE FALL OF TROY
WE THE WILD
45-day North American Tour. Now, let it be known: if only for our own selfish indulgement, we would love to tour Europe and see the world, rather than putt around our own country in the awful state it’s in. However, we just released a record conceptualized around the decaying industry of heavy music in America, and it is only fitting that we would remain “in the shit” to purvey it to those on the brink of giving up. Music is fuel to the exhausted and weary, and if there’s a higher concentration of that in Nebraska than there is in London…well, that’s where we’re gonna tear it up.
Our (dream) touring rig would be a big ass truck towing a giant 5th wheel trailer loaded with not just our gear, but camp stuff, dirt bikes, jet skis, etc. because A: no amount of weather is going to stop us from getting to the next show, and B: we want to have a good ass time! For us, touring is vacation. We don’t take vacations. We work full time all the time delivering your packages, pouring your drinks and remodeling your houses and if the only break is to play music across the country, we’re going to make the most of it.
The bands listed that we would want to hit the road with all share one incredibly important characteristic: they are SUCCESSFUL in making heavy, crazy music COOL again. They have done so by creating amazingly musical and diverse albums and performing them impeccably, and that is exactly what we aspire to. They are also all renowned for unbelievable live performances, as well as being groups of people that never stop expanding as artists.
WHY WE LOVE THEM SO!?!
Refused: set the bar for hardcore long ago with the masterpiece album “The Shape of Punk to Come”; now, years later, still making amazing music that is not only awesome to listen to, but lyrically profound in shedding light on our forever worsening political climate. They put on one of the most intense live shows we have ever witnessed.
The Dillinger Escape Plan: we’ll just pretend they aren’t wrapping up their last tour ever…their music has evolved exponentially over the years and their ability to turn concert halls into roiling seas of controlled chaos is unbelievable.
The Fall Of Troy: let’s get some more Pacific Northwest representation on this bill. We look up to these guys as musicians and they put on a straight up rock and roll show; we’ve gotten to play with them a couple times here in Portland and it was so much fun.
Every Time I Die: we just wanna party with those guys. But more importantly, when it comes to touring and putting on shows, they obviously know what they’re doing. The foundation of support is unbelievable, and their music and lyrics represent everything we fight for. Being heard, expanding your perspectives, not lying down in the face of anything…they are an important band through and through, and we would be honored. Also, let’s take shots and arm wrestle.

Keep up with the band on Facebook and Twitter!
