Star City Meltdown – 2nd ROAD BLOG from their “Summer Tour 2012”

Star City Meltdown is on their U.S. Headlining 2012 Summer Tour. While on the road they will be writing periodic blogs for us. The second one can be read after the break.

Hey guys, Cody from Star City Meltdown here…

I’m writing this while traveling via car back to our rehearsal space to kick off the second leg of our US Headlining Tour. When I wrote my last update, we had experienced some severe bus issues that had left us stranded for multiple days. We took the opportunity a few days ago to finally resolve these issues, and got a new set of wheels to travel across the country, and generally wreak havoc in. Thoughts of the previous week’s shows leading up to us getting a new form of transportation are still fresh and vivid in my mind.

We traveled to Sandy Springs, Georgia to play at a pretty awesome club called The North River Tavern. It’s always great to see fans who come out to shows wearing our t-shirts, but it’s an indescribable feeling when someone has forever etched your band name in their skin through the wonderful medium of tattoo. There were three different fans at the show proudly wearing Star City Meltdown ink. Needless to say, we had a ton of fun performing for the crowd and hanging with them afterwards.

We continued our travels, and headed into Atlanta, Georgia the following night to perform at The Soho. A really amazing fan offered to completely cover our bar tab, and we spent the night having drinks, and chatting with everyone who had made it out to the show. We played probably to one of the highest energy crowds of the whole entire tour, and headed back to the bus to unwind for a bit before traveling to the next show.

Unfortunately, the vehicle issues had become too much, and we had to reschedule a date so that we could come home to seek a new means of transportation. We ended up securing a new bus, and we’re kicking off the second leg of our US Headlining Tour this Wed. June 27th, that’s two days after our “Here With You” music video premier from our friends at BlankTV on June 25th.
