Pat Kiloran – DREAM TOUR

My “dream tour” is one that would never, ever happen. But if it did, it would be so totally rad. I tend to draw a lot of influence from different places. I listen to a ton of hip-hop and R&B. I love alt-pop. And I really appreciate great singer/songwriters.
That being said, let’s start with the headliner: Kanye West. I am one of “those” people who think that Kanye is a genius. He is, in my opinion, one of the most forward-thinking producers and artists in pop music today. I am a huge fan of his music. I am also blown away that on his current “Saint Pablo” tour, he does not use a traditional stage. The fact that his “stage” is a suspended light fixture is revolutionary and impressive, to say the least.
The direct support would probably have to be The 1975. Ever since they put out their first record, I have been a big, big fan. The way they use low-key soundscapes, repetitive riffs, and simple rhythms to create such iconic melodies and deep feelings is mind-blowing. I have not personally attended one of their shows (yet), but my friends who have gone have said that everything from the lights, to the production, to the music itself makes up one of the most surreal shows they have ever seen.
Following them would have to be the one-and-only Ryan Adams. He is hands-down my favorite songwriter. The way he seeks to capture emotion and isn’t afraid to make, and even display, his mistakes in order to properly convey the purpose of the song is inspiring. He played at The Ryman in Nashville, TN a year or so ago, and the crowd was absolutely taken aback by the pure talent on stage.
Opening up the show would be me, mostly just freaking out and passing out at the opportunity.
