Maggie Rose – DREAM TOUR

In this Dream Tour segment, the country artist, Maggie Rose, lets you know who she would like on her ultimate tour lineup. You can check out the feature, after the break.

Sir Paul McCartney – I saw him at The Bridgestone Arena in Nashville not too long ago which was the experience of a lifetime. He is undeniably a living legend and his stamina would be impressive had he been 27 instead of 72, which he was at the time. After playing for hours and then continuing on to an encore performance, he warmly reminded the audience that we would all have to eventually leave the arena at some point because the staff had to go home. I admire the fact that he has never ceased to make music. Ever. He is timeless and his music will always be relevant. His melodies and lyrics will never go out of style and the bar he has set is virtually unreachable.
The Brothers Osborne – They are fellow Marylanders, like myself, and I think they are another band who’s music has a timeless appeal. Nothing about them is artificial and they have never chased a sound or tried to hit a target. They have consistently been themselves and I think that is why they stand out so much to me not only in the Country genre but simply in contemporary music. I also have a feeling that they would be incredibly fun tour mates and we would get into trouble. If John Osborne would bring his wife Lucie Silvas out on the road as to play a set of her own, they truly would be the ultimate tour mates.
The 1975 – I was listening to Spotify awhile back when “Love Me” came on and stopped me in my tracks. Their production and playfulness stand up to their musicianship and grit. That song, in particular, was reminiscent of Peter Gabriel and I dug into the rest of their music and decided I had found my favorite new band. Their frontman, Matty, is a throwback to the larger-than-life rock stars we all wanted to grow up to be. They took all the best things from the 80s and incorporated it into their innovative sound. It would be surreal to have the chance to hear them every night.
