Satellite Mode – DREAM TOUR

Hi there, Alex from Satellite Mode here. The great guys at Digital Tour Bus posed a question about our ideal dream tour and it’s a really tough and intriguing question for us.

Due to our eclectic taste our dream tour would include a time machine, a supergroup, and a couple siances, but here we go.

The headlining act would, of course, be the Beatles of the “Let it Be” era with Billy Preston on keys. That driving blues, true soul and overt edge recorded on each song represents human consciousness perfectly: though overtly simple, it’s deep, raw and complex thing.

To open on the first half the tour would be a Dr. Dog / Miike Snow super group called “Dr. Snow.” Dr. Dog does a great job of capturing the vintage sounds of the Beach Boys with a psychedelic flare, while Miike Snow knows how to ensure that folks 50 years from now will look back at the 2010’s and go “yeah there was great music and songwriting going on…”

Opening the second half of the tour would be Sia with Billy Joel on keys. I mean just imagine that it’d be epic. At the end of the show, Billy, Sia and Paul would do an acoustic version of Live and Let Die into the back half of Abbey Road and while the whole earth stands still for 15 minutes there would finally be true peace…

If anyone has a time machine let us know, I have a feeling we can make this tour happen!

Keep up with the duo on Facebook and Twitter!
