King The Kid – 3rd ROAD BLOG from the “Freaks and Geeks Tour” with Hollywood Ending

The pop rock band, King The Kid, is just finished supporting Hollywood Ending on the “Freaks and Geeks Tour.” While they are on this tour, they wrote a blog for us about their adventures on the road. You can check out the third and final entry written by the band’s drummer, Ricky Ficarelli, after the break.

The Freaks & Geeks tour was without a doubt my favorite tour I’ve ever been apart of. At the risk of sounding overly cheesy, the friendship & bound of all the bands on this tour was so tight! From day one Hollywood Ending & This Is All Now treated us like good friends that you haven’t seen in a long time.
The last show for us was in Denver, CO. We close our set every night with a song of ours called “Name In Lights”, but we knew we wanted to do something special for the last show. Instead of playing the last chorus of our own song we switched into “Don’t Stop Believing” by Journey. The crowd flipped out & the greatest part of all was the boys in HWE came out on stage with us to end the tour together. It was an unforgettable jam!
Before we began our current trip back to Florida to get back in the studio we decided to have some fun. Our crew & the HWE crew spent the day in Breckenridge, CO. The more athletic half spent the day on the mountain snowboarding, while the less-athletic half (including myself) had a relaxing day in the beautiful town of Breckenridge. At the end of the day we all met at the RV & van to say our goodbyes.
We had so much fun this past month & we can’t wait to get back out on the road with Against The Current in May/June!
