Journeys Noise Tour feat. 3Oh!3 – REVIEW

We recently had the opportunity to attend, photograph and review the Chicago date of Journeys Noise Tour featuring 3Oh!3. You can check out our review and pictures, after the break.

When was the last time you saw 3OH!3? If it wasn’t recently, then you better grab yourself a ticket for the Journeys Noise Tour featuring 3OH!3, The Summer Set, Wallpaper, and New Beat Fund.

First up for the night was California band, New Beat Fund. Now let me just say this is a band that already has gained quite a following. Having played on Warped Tour and Riot Fest this year and opening for Blink-182, they have gained some recognition. I love the way they promote themselves by giving away free cd’s at each show and stickers and basically making themselves available to the fans. Every time I see them, more and more people in the crowd are singing their songs with them. Make some time and give a listen to some of their songs such as, “Peaches”, “Celibate Celebrity”, “Scare Me”, and “Get Up”.  They are very entertaining guys both on and off stage. Seeing them live is not something to miss.

With Wallpaper. up next, they really surprised me. With two drummers and two vocalists, this group is not one to underestimate. Ricky Reed leads this group, with his hip hop and dance tunes that had the whole place jumping. Playing songs such as “Last Call”, “Fucking Best Song Ever”, “Good 4 it”, “Puke my Brains Out”, and “#STUPiDFACEDD”, I wouldn’t pass the opportunity to see them again live. They put on a great show that was full of a lot of energy and enthusiasm. Fortunately they will be back again after the holidays. After the show they were by the merch tables taking pictures and signing stuff for fans.

The Summer Set was up next and no matter how many times I see them live, their set is always entertaining. Making sure to play old and new songs such as “Chelsea”, “Maybe Tonight”, “Boomerang”, “Lightening in a Bottle”, “Someone Like You” and others, The Summer Set put on a great show.  They had the crowd jumping and singing along.

Once it came time for 3OH!3 to come on stage, the crowd was ready. Coming on stage performing a medley of “Punk Bitch”, “Not Your Boyfriend”, and “Choke Chain”, and continuing on with songs such as “My First Kiss”, “Streets of Gold”, “Don’t Dance”, “Touchin’ on My”, “Richman”, “Starstrukk”, “Youngblood”, “Don’t Trust Me” and others. They also performed a special song that featured all of the acts on the tour called “Turn the Night On”. If you are looking for a party, then this is the tour to go to. Nothing was short of a good time and they made sure everyone was off their feet. This was my first time getting to see them live and hopefully not my last. I was surprised by how many old songs they played but very glad that they did.

The lineup on this tour fit so well together and I thank Journeys for bringing these acts together on one stage.
