Halo Circus – DREAM TOUR

In this Dream Tour segment, the pop rock band, Halo Circus, share the acts that they would include on their ultimate tour lineup. You can check out their picks, after the break.

1) JULIETA VENEGAS: Many people in America aren’t familiar with Julieta Venegas, and that’s too bad. She’s a powerful latin alternative rock singer who can play the shit out of the accordion. Yes, that’s right, the accordion. She wears her emotions on her sleeve and says yes where many musicians say no. She’s credible and we’d love nothing more than to sit at the side of the stage and watch her play every night.

2) JACK WHITE: Rarely do you get the impression from an artist that if they weren’t doing their art their head may explode. This is the impression we get from Jack White. In any incarnation, he is unapologetic and 100% present. His goal live is never to be an incredible singer or an incredible guitarist, it’s all about being an incredible experience and more often than not, an incredible statement. It’s impossible not to leave a Jack White concert feeling inspired and pushed forward just a little bit. When we started Halo Circus, we imagined doing something a little different, a little meaningful and something that would leave people feeling better for coming to hear us play. Artists like Jack White are so rare, but they pave the way for anything to be possible.

3) NO DOUBT (circa the 90’s): We know that No Doubt is still a band and are still doing great music. However, If it would be possible to turn back time and tour with them in the 90’s, we would really like that. When No Doubt exploded on the scene there was no better band and no better front person that Gwen Stefani. No doubt was an incredible rock band with influences ranging from ska to punk to full blown stadium rock. Nothing about them felt like a formula and they could make an 80 capacity club feel like a stadium and a stadium feel like a club. They were loud, unapologetic and delicate. We need more of that right now.
