Casket Girls – PRESHOW RITUALS

In this Preshow Rituals segment, Elsa Greene of the eerie-pop band, Casket Girls, shares what they do before every show. You can check out their rituals, after the break.

The current state of our pre-show rituals usually begin with needing to pee pretty badly as we sit in traffic on the last leg of the commute into the city of the day. Phay and I then carefully assess the green room situation as we plot when and where we will change into costume, wigs and all. Ryan shuffles things around creating a merch world where sometimes Chloe sets up her tattoo station.

We like to make sure and connect with the sound engineer and discuss our set up and general sonic goals as we assemble our various gear and pedal boards. We like to eat light, then enjoy just one pre-show drink during the opening band…

And most importantly my Sister and I must stare straight into each other’s souls to deeply connect, communicate psychically and harness our powers, not only pre-show, but throughout the show, so we stay present and involved in the beautiful exchange of energy within ourselves and with the audience, that is playing live music.
